The scent of hope

The irony of life is that everything is meant to be learned, for good or bad, we must all learn of every situation and gather our experiences and just let go, the past, live the present and wish the best to come for our future.
It is unbelievable how we never lose our hopes. I believe that is the last thing we lose, but it is hard to continue, and to have the courage just to go through, tolerating the past, realizing and accepting that life is not a fairy tale. Life is hard as you grow up, it can make you a bitter, a dreamer, a loser, a winner, a cold person, or just the one that sits and waits and never does anything. Is hard to have hope, but somehow we still find it inside, no matter what happens.
We yell, we laugh, we cry, we just wonder around, and feel impotent, sad, happy, unsecure, lost, proud, ashamed and any other feeling you can imagine. Is a mix of emotions when you live under a situation where you can see all the wrong things and yet… nobody does anything to fix them. When you see the enormous contrast between the different circles of society. When you see a non equal world, a society that is not giving any opportunities to the talented, to the dreamers, to those who want to build a better society, a better future for the generations to come. Is sad and embarrassing how you just have to learn to live with it, to stop fighting against what’s wrong, and just see it as an every day event.
Is amazing how society has adapted to these changes, to life with this feeling inside, it seems it has forgotten it’s past, and, is meant to live it again. As an old proverb says “A country that doesn’t know their past, that is not conscient of what’s happening and what has happen with it’s political-social and economical situation, is meant to repeat its history in a drastically way”.
Is hard to be a dreamer, and see your every day dream crashing in front of your eyes on a daily basis. It makes you not sad, but it gives you a frustrating taste of how cruel life can be.
All the big contrasts, surrounded by them; it makes me happy that I can see them, and that I can try to make a difference and just somehow educate others to make a difference; but it makes me sad to see lots of people just ignoring this, and teaching others just to become ignorants, and blind about what reality is.
Is not easy to close your eyes, to cover them and create a parallel reality that to you it becomes real, a lie to you eyes. But I must say is easier to do this than to open your eyes and see how reality crashes everything in front of you, “like twisting your heart, and breaking it in many pieces”.
Do you have other options? Today in societies like this, and like most of all, we learn the value of money, but what they don’t teach you is that money is not everything in this world. Is just a piece of paper. It has no other value. How can you compare a life, to a piece of paper? Well, this is whats happening every day.
We lose many lifes because there is not enough money to feed them, to give them the appropriate healthcare, the minimum things to survive such as a roof to sleep under. And yet… there is enough money to buy expensive cars, expensive lifestyles, expensive minimum things that are just capricious small touches, unnecessary adorns… and we choose that instead of saving a life, or giving a better education to a kid.
How can you lie to yourself everyday when you know what is coming after? How can you live and not do anything to make it better? How can you forget the history and lose all your values an the scent of being a citizen, a human being? Well, somehow you lie to yourself and that is how we can find hope everyday.

people HAVE to lie to themselves, if not they couldn't live life such carefree...just think about those who live in the industrialized countries - they don't really care about people having problems in the third world, they think about it, they say: yes it is crazy what is going on. but then they forget. it's the same with climate change, if we don't really feel it, we will never change something..this is how humans work: out of sight, out of mind...
